TEC 40 – Divers who enjoy and have gained considerable experience as sport divers but would like to go a step further could enrol on a PADI TEC 40 course. This course serves as a bridge from recreational scuba diving to technical diving. It’s the first step towards the complete PADI Tec Diver qualification, the transition from no-stop diving to technical deep decompression diving. Candidates start building knowledge and learning the skills necessary to continue PADI Tec diver training while gaining experience in Tec diving. On completion of this course, divers will be qualified to do limited deco dives to a maximum 40m.
TEC 45 – PADI Tec 40 divers may want to go a step further and enrol on a PADI Tec 45 course. This is the second step towards the full PADI Tec Diver program and divers extend their depth limit to 45m. They learn how to plan to do repetitive decompression dives using a single stage/decompression cylinder. Divers get to use a complete Tec diving rig and do accelerated decompression dives using Nitrox or 100% Oxygen. They could choose to dive with either side-mount or back-mount configurations.
TEC 50 – The Tec 50 course is the third and last step to completing the full PADI Tec Diver program. This is a challenging course by the end of which divers will have the skills to perform dives to 50m and be competent as Tec divers, capable of making extended / accelerated decompression stops using 2 gasses.
